Mythical Phenomenon

Some mythical phenomenon actually existed or had their equivalents in reality. We are presenting for our viewers some of them.

  • Dragons.


There are theories, believing that the stories about dragons are associated with meeting people and dinosaurs and crocodiles, but certainly talk about the correctness of this assumption is not yet possible, because historically the ways of man and dinosaur never met, and crocodiles are too small for the role of a dragon. However, among the terrestrial beings for such nice suits Megalania lizard, an ancient relative of the Komodo dragon that once terrorized the Australian Aborigines. He grew to a length of eight meters and weighed no less than 1.9 tons. His poisonous saliva containing substances not allow blood to clot victim, so those who are not fortunate enough to meet this monster, dying, bleeding.

Surely everyone has heard about the warlike tribes of women, most famous was due to the myths of Hercules. The Greek historian Herodotus wrote about the fate of the Amazons, narrating how they were abducted and taken to distant lands, and then defeated and overthrew their tormentors, shipwrecked, and then fought with the Scythians in the Eurasian steppes. Rate the impressive figures of Amazons, Scythian men wisely decided to win the battle on the field of love. Horrible Wolf appeared as a character of many computer games and was recently seen in the famous "Games of Thrones". In real life, kind of terrible wolves really existed in parallel with early man and the so-called mega fauna in the Pleistocene epoch. These animals were larger than the average modern wolf, stronger, and their teeth were much more acute. When representatives of the mega fauna became extinct, terrible wolves lost their main source of food. They were too slow to hunt small prey that is modern diet of wolves, and the lack of food forced them to look for edible medium falls. As a result of this kind became extinct.
